Author Guidelines

AUTHOR GUIDELINES – PRIMER: Journal of Primary Education Research

Authors are invited to submit original research articles relevant to primary education. Manuscripts must be original, have not been published previously, and must not be under consideration by another journal.

Manuscript Preparation

  • Manuscripts should follow the PRIMER Article Template.
  • Manuscripts should be written in clear academic English or Indonesian.
  • The manuscript should include: Title, Author Information, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgments (if applicable), Author Declaration, and References.
  • The abstract should clearly state the research purpose, methodology, main findings, and conclusion.
  • Authors should use recent and relevant scholarly references and apply consistent citation and reference formatting.
  • Tables and figures must be numbered, titled, and referred to in the manuscript.

Research Ethics
Authors conducting research involving human participants must provide appropriate ethical approval and informed consent information where applicable.

Originality and Similarity
Manuscripts must be original and free from plagiarism. All submissions are subject to similarity checking and editorial screening.

Peer Review
Submitted manuscripts are evaluated through an editorial screening process and peer review. Authors may be required to revise their manuscripts based on reviewers’ comments.

Submission Requirements
Authors should ensure that all required metadata are completed accurately, including author names, affiliations, email addresses, ORCID IDs (if available), abstract, keywords, and references.

Article Template
Authors must use the official PRIMER Article Template available on the journal website.

Editorial Communication
Authors are encouraged to provide an active email address and WhatsApp number to facilitate communication during the editorial and revision process.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Authors retain copyright of their work and grant PRIMER: Journal of Primary Education Research the right of first publication.

The article is published under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) License, which permits others to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the published work, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and the journal.

By submitting the manuscript, authors confirm that the work is original, has not been published elsewhere, and that they have the necessary rights and permissions for all materials included in the manuscript.
